Job summary

The Corporate Quality & Systems Lead (CQSL) is the senior custodian of Delta's integrated management systems. As Team Lead of the Corporate Quality Team and Lead Auditor, the CQSL drives compliance to ISO 9001, and champions continuous improvement across the organization. The role blends hands-on system coordination with people leadership—setting direction, allocating resources, and reporting performance to meet strategic and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional quality team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee resource planning, performance management, training, and professional development.
  • Monitor team capacity and escalate gaps in staffing or process efficiency as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager on key performance indicators (KPIs), budgeting, and strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Act as Lead Auditor: plan, execute, and report on internal audits; maintain audit documentation and support auditor development.
  • Ensure full compliance with QMS requirements, including document control, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), support root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Lead quality initiatives, capability studies, and data-driven performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on new product development, design reviews, and validation activities.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to resolve product or process quality issues and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence tools to drive efficiency and process improvements.
  • Monitor and interpret changing customer, industry, and regulatory requirements; ensure policy and procedure updates are implemented.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports on audit outcomes, key quality metrics, and continuous improvement progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead and build strong teams.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Good at analyzing data and writing clear technical reports.
  • Strong time management and ability to work well on your own.
  • Focused on results and takes initiative to solve problems and meet goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Management, or a similar field.
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with quality systems and compliance.
  • Experience in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar quality tools.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and inspection methods.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Quality, or Business is a plus.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
