POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Electrical Team Leader is responsible for overseeing teams of employees and motivating them to complete their job duties effectively. They will know every aspect of the electrical building process for projects they are responsible for and be capable of sharing that knowledge with team members. Provide oversight and guidance to Crew Lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze electrical engineering drawings and effectively communicate project requirements to work teams.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control: Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical and control systems to ensure optimal performance. Identify and report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

Project Management: Ensure that project schedule milestones are met and coordinate tasks to maintain timelines. Ensure all work is completed accurately and documented on quality control checklists.

Identify training needs and foster the development of team members' skills and abilities. Deliver clear instructions and coaching to team members to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

EXPERIENCE:

Leadership and management experience within a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with NEC code and other standards (IEC)

Ability to read one-line and three-line electrical drawings (MV, LV, Control).

Practical experience in installing electrical components, including panels, E-stops, and control systems.

Experience working in a manufacturing shop environment.

Familiarity with electrical assembly tools and the ability to perform tests (e.g., insulation tests, point-to-point tests).

Proven communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills and experience.

Physical fitness to lift 30-50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and reaching.
