Associate Buyer/Inventory Analyst

14-Month Maternity Leave Contract (Target Start Date: July 1, 2025)

Who is Native Shoes looking for?

Reporting to our Senior Manager, Planning & Sales Operations, were looking for an
Associate Buyer/Inventory Analyst to play an integral role as we grow our eCommerce & Wholesale business. You will be responsible for supporting in season sell through and inventory metrics while building your skills in sales analysis and SKU buy planning. In doing so, you will support cross-functional teams with timely and accurate information to drive tactics to have the right product at the right place at the right time at the right price. You will also support day-to-day merchandising & inventory responsibilities, including reporting, discontinuations, price management, and inventory analysis.

What would I be responsible for?

  • Support Planning and Sales teams in achieving sales, margin, and inventory goals through merchandise planning, inventory planning, allocation and reporting.
  • Extract and analyze large sets of sales & inventory data across eCommerce & Wholesale channels to drive decision making and opportunity identification.
  • Recommend inventory movements to maximize full-price sales.
  • Analyze current and historical sales and inventory data from eCommerce and Wholesale
    to support seasonal plans/estimates, including analysis of sell-through, inventory health, discounts and analytically surface patterns as future performance indicators.
  • Analyze size curves across the business to bubble up trends that would impact future inventory position and buy plans.
  • Manage daily merchandising tasks, including item setups, discontinuations, product launches, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate on the exit strategy for discontinued items to minimize excess and ensure smooth transitions every month.
  • Contribute to seasonal post-mortems with cross-functional teams to continuously improve and refine seasonal buy strategies and processes.
  • Alongside the Senior Manager of Planning & Sales Operations you will create and execute the seasonal demand planning process to forecast accurate seasonal demand plan for eCommerce channel.
  • Create and maintain
    accurate demand plans at the SKU level for approval from the Planning Lead.
  • Set up seasonal reports and tools for Planning and XF partners to support season launch and in season execution.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all inventory tools

Required Experience

  • 3+ years experience in merchandise planning and/or inventory analysis, preferably within a Footwear or Apparel environment
  • Previous experience with sales and product forecasting in a seasonal business
  • Strong grasp of retail metrics (ex. sell-through, turns, margin etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present findings in an understandable way
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented self-starter, able to work independently and in team settings
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented, but able to see and work the big picture

Compensation

The role is expected to be compensated between $60,000 - $70,000 base salary, depending on experience and job-related qualifications.
