Engineer Scalable Data Solutions with Azure & Databricks!The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a skilled Data Engineer – Azure Databricks to join our growing Data & Analytics team. Travel: Occasional travel as neededKey Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Databricks and Azure services.
  • Databricks Expertise: Leverage Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, Workflows, and Runtime to orchestrate complex data workflows and optimize reliability.
  • Data Modeling & Architecture: Design robust data models within a data lake environment, ensuring data consistency and accessibility.
  • Cloud Integration: Integrate Databricks seamlessly with Azure services like Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation procedures and comply with governance best practices to ensure high-quality, secure data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to align data solutions with business goals.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, Databricks features, and best practices in data engineering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (specialization in AI/ML is a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including Databricks and Azure Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps (including CI/CD pipelines and Git).
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python or Scala; experience with PySpark/Spark SQL required.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with data governance, quality, and security frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Databricks certification (e.g., Data Engineer Professional).
  • Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate).
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and API Management.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization platforms.
  • Experience in developing AI/ML platforms
