Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Development Support Coordinator to play a key role in growing earned and contributed revenue for this cultural institution. Reporting to the Manager of Development, this position will combine sponsorship and fundraising campaign activities with outreach to grow membership, birthday party bookings, and corporate group sales.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Campaigns

  • Draft compelling communications for fundraising campaigns, renewals, and donor updates
  • Collaborate with marketing on digital and print materials that support business development initiatives and donor recognition
  • Maintain an annual calendar of campaigns, communications, and sales cycles
  • Assist with timely donor acknowledgement

Database & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM database
  • Generate reports to track performance of campaigns, memberships, and bookings
  • General administrative support to Development team
  • Provide logistical support for member and donor recognition activities as needed

Outreach & Business Development

  • Grow and steward THEMUSEUM memberships through outreach and campaigns
  • Manage and promote birthday party bookings and respond to inquiries
  • Coordinate with the sales team to increase corporate group bookings/rentals
  • Develop strategies to convert third-party users and members into sponsors and donors
  • Assist in preparing customized sponsorship proposals and stewardship reports
  • Assist with building up the member benefits portfolio with local businesses and other attractions

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, non-profit management, or related field
  • 13 years of experience in development, sales, customer service, or communications, ideally in a non-profit or cultural setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in CRM/donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential donor information
