As a Barback, you'll be the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps everything running smoothly, supporting our bartenders and contributing to the energy and flow of the space. If you're fast, organized, and hungry to learn, this is your first step into a world-class bar program.

Position Overview:

As a Barback at Queens Harbour, you'll provide critical support to the bar team by keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and ready for high-volume service. You'll anticipate needs, move with urgency, and contribute to the rhythm and professionalism of the bar — all while soaking up knowledge in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Stock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, glassware, and all necessary tools before, during, and after service
  • Prep Batches throughout service
  • Restock and rotate product throughout service to ensure bar efficiency and freshness
  • Polish glassware and bar tools to maintain a clean and professional presentation
  • Prepare garnishes and assist with batch prep or ingredient setup as directed by bartenders or management
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including floors, shelves, bar mats, and refrigeration
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and ensure waste areas are clean and organized
  • Support bartenders by anticipating their needs and ensuring quick access to product or tools
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of bar areas for daily service or events
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including safe handling of beverages and ingredients
Qualifications:
  • 6 months–1 year of experience in a fast-paced bar or hospitality environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to move quickly and efficiently
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, kegs, and glassware trays
  • Clear communicator with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Passion for hospitality and interest in beverage service or bartending
  • Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain)
What We're Looking For:
  • High energy and a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and pride in keeping things clean and organized
  • Quick learner with an eagerness to grow within the bar team
  • Calm under pressure and responsive to shifting priorities
  • Team player who shows up with respect, hustle, and a willingness to help
