Position: Retail Sales Representative/Merchandiser

Region: GTA East and West (2 Positions)

Reports To: Sales Manager

SUMMARY:

The Affinity Group Retail Sales Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all accounts in their specified territory. In addition, gathering field information and representing our Clients in a professional and courteous manner is vital to the success of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make store visits to new and existing retailers
• Provide store-level support on new product launches and initiatives
• Perform store audit checks
• Manage retail distributors and pre-sell feature activity and track featured activity
• Manage shelf space and location of products
• Build rapport at store and head office level
• Participate at various distributor and food-related trade shows

The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral with a strong command of the English language
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent presentation skills - in both the boardroom and kitchen
• Be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Must have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
• Work may be performed in an office, warehouse, or restaurant environment
• Stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb
• May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds
• Flexible work hours to accommodate demands of position (some weekends included)
• May require travel up to 80% of the time within territory and overnights may be required
