Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Materials Coordinator at our 591 Arvin facility.
Job Summary & Reporting Structure:
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Materials Hourly Coordinator supports material flow between AGS Accessories programs and Paint line, coordinating with Materials and Production Planning. They will be responsible for scheduling the paint line to ensure customer requirements are met and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule the paint line to ensure customer requirements are met
- Coordinate efforts within the Materials and Production Planning Departments relative to material flow between Accessories program at Sister plants and paint line.
- Update all steps of RMA's on a timely basis.
- Expedite the process as required.
- Interact with team utilizing phone, electronic communication, QAD and Ujigami database
- Daily participation with materials group on potential issues.
- Assist with accurate perpetual inventory through cycle counting program.
- Assist with physical inventory, reporting duties, and creating special reports as required
- Ensure accurate and timely document receipt including RMA documents, production documents, and/or reject documents
- Recommend changes, improvements to the process flow
- Promote continuous improvement in all areas
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education Required
PMAC certified or University/College degree
Core Competencies
Production Scheduling, Knowledge of QAD Manufacturing Computer System, Microsoft Office especially Excel, MRP experience is an asset.
Multi-task, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and be a team player
Experience Required
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Materials function
Experience in a Manufacturing Environment preferred
