Summary: The Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) will lead and innovate the technology operations of our organization with a strong emphasis on eCommerce platforms and manufacturing systems. This executive role is responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, optimizing digital commerce experiences, continuous process improvement and enhancing operational efficiency across manufacturing environments.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs.

Salary Range: $200,000 To 240,000 Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's eCommerce growth and manufacturing scalability.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team to shape long-term business and technology direction.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve customer experience and internal operational efficiency.

eCommerce Technology Oversight

  • Oversee architecture, development, and optimization of eCommerce platforms (Magento / Adobe Commerce)
  • Internal systems based on PHP, Postgress, Ngnix.
  • Ensure seamless integration between eCommerce systems, internal systems and ERP, CRM running on Netsuite).
  • Drive data analytics initiatives to improve customer insights, sales conversions, and digital marketing ROI. By building a Data Warehouse in AWS RedShift that makes it easy for the Business to develop their own reports.
  • Migrating IT infrastructure to AWS, understanding AWS costing models, optimization.

Manufacturing Systems Management

  • Maintain and Improve manufacturing-focused systems to support production planning, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Leverage IT Technologies to modernize factory operations.
  • Ensure technology supports lean manufacturing principles, supply chain visibility, and end-to-end traceability.

IT Operations & Governance

  • Establish and enforce robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures across security, data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance.
  • Maintain and comply with the SOC 2 Type 1, PII, HIPPA compliance programs
  • Ensure systems meet internal audit and external regulatory requirements, particularly in sensitive manufacturing environments.
  • Maintain oversight of cybersecurity risk management and incident response protocols.

Human Capital & Organizational Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, geographically distributed IT organization, fostering a culture of excellence, learning, empowerment and innovation.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, retention strategies, succession planning, and skills development within the IT department.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure technology roles are clearly defined, compensation is market-competitive, and professional development opportunities are aligned with business needs.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set team goals, and implement programs to recognize and reward top talent.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing IT team across software development, infrastructure, Security and operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or Master's preferred.
  • Ten (10)+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including significant tenure in eCommerce and manufacturing-intensive environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex IT organizations through growth, change, and digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated success in people leadership, performance management, and team building at a senior level.
  • Deep understanding of ERP systems NetSuite, eCommerce platforms Magento/ Adobe Commerce, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of IT compliance, cybersecurity, and manufacturing technology standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, FDA).
  • Experience with SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance certifications and maintaining compliance.
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP systems (NetSuite).
  • Experience with Data Warehouse implementation and optimization.
  • Experience with JIRA and other manufacturing tools GIT, TeamCity, Jenkins.

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Leadership & People Management Skills: Strong executive presence with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire diverse IT teams. Proficiency in hiring, mentoring, team development, and succession planning. Experienced in leading cross-functional and cross-geography teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT initiatives with long-term business goals. Skilled in identifying and evaluating emerging technologies for business applicability.
  • Project & Program Management: Expertise in overseeing large-scale technology rollouts and enterprise transformation projects. Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and ITIL.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical issues in business terms to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Proven success in managing organizational change through digital transformation. Ability to foster adoption and minimize disruption through effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Vision and Innovation: Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to envision future technology needs. Comfortable experimenting with emerging technologies to enhance business outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Strong ability to work across departments (Ops, Finance, Sales, HR, Supply Chain) to align priorities and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of the Printing Industry, highly preferred
