Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd. is a national leader in land development and residential construction, and we are seeking a Regional Quality Supervisor to join our Quality Control team.
The Regional Quality Supervisor is responsible for the successful implementation of the quality program on multiple projects. Providing training and support in inspection, coordination, and communication. The Regional Quality Supervisor manages Quality Officers on-site and ensures projects following company quality program and standards. This role also reviews construction documents and constantly involves in design review, RFI, risk management, and all aspects of field operation of quality program in the assigned region. The incumbent communicates regularly with the head office project teams regarding the progress and results of quality program.

Your contributions to the team:
  • Interview, train, and manage Quality Officers on multiple sites
  • Visit sites frequently and ensure quality programs are implemented by Quality Officers with consistency and efficiency
  • Visit sites frequently and ensure scope of work and quality standards are followed by sub-contractors
  • Mentor, coach, and train internal employees to assist quality assurance and quality control
  • Travel across provinces and perform inspections on multiple projects as needed
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate issues to project team
  • Coordinating with quality program office team, adapt inspection procedures and schedules based on project-specific factors, such as weather, staffing level, trade progress, schedule risk, local code and regulation, etc.
  • Ensure Quality Officers develop good rapport with site staff, office team, client and sub-contractors, and act as dispute mediator to resolve on-site issues
  • Ensure Quality Officers receive timely training and on-going support
  • Produce training manuals and inspection procedures, as assigned
  • Conduct routine and random quality auditing
  • Produce operational and audit reports as requested
  • Other duties, as assigned
What you need to be successful:
  • Minimum 5 years' in a team leader role in the residential construction industry
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents, including construction drawings, engineering schematics, specifications, construction contracts, and scope of work
  • Organized, flexible, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions and in various building spaces (such as crawl spaces, roofs), and various work platforms (such as scaffolding, scissor lift, aerial lift)
  • Must be able to establish good working relationship with many different people, including labourers, trade persons, third-party consultants and engineers, city officials, supervisors and Head Office team
  • Extensive knowledge in building techniques and building codes in the construction of multi-storey residential buildings
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and electronic devices
