What you'll do:

Our Field Sales Representative will be tasked with expanding our customer base through strategic outreach and farm visits. You will engage in sales calls to a combination of warm and cold leads to generate equipment sales. You will be vital to growing our customer base and establishing relationships with customers that we partially or do not yet deal with. This role consists of:

  • Develop a strategic customer acquisition plan to increase South Country's customer base through outreach and lead generation
  • Follow-up on leads passed by management that are generated through our various social and internet platforms
  • Making cold calls to growers within our 7 million acre territory to have a better understanding of the opportunity that exists in the area
  • Look after all sales leads from outside of South Country's defined territory
  • Develop new customers and enhance the current relationship with partial customers
  • Follow-up with potential sales leads drawn from other departments
  • Develop relationships with farmers that will allow you to provide them enhanced support
  • Call on Small AG and Hay producers to market our Small AG offerings.

Requirements

What you bring:

  • A drive to develop and generate new business
  • Self starter that can work autonomously and self-motivate
  • 2-3 years of sales experience
  • A competitive spirit that strives to set and achieve goals
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to come up with creative solutions
  • A farming background or understanding of the agriculture industry in Saskatchewan would be considered an asset
  • Understanding of financing and lease programs would be considered an asset
