POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Programs Coordinator/Executive Assistant works with the Sr. Vice President, Global Programs and is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Global Programs department and its activities, performing a range of coordinating and administrative duties.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Location(s): Ottawa, ON (Remote)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Supporting the SR. VP through a wide range of administrative duties relating to daily operations and project work, including coordinating meetings & activities, managing schedules, researching, analyzing & synthesizing information, assistance with communications, managing and organizing files, etc.
Creating presentations and other meeting materials including reports and Board submissions.
Maintaining the SR. VPs calendar, handling inquiries and requests, and anticipating operational needs, proactively resolving logistical and administrative issues.
Support with departmental budget, processing invoices and expense reports, and arranging travel for the SR. VP.

REQUIREMENTS


Education:
University Degree in Business Administration or related field
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience working in an administrative capacity in a busy multinational organization, supporting the activities of an executive and a department. Experience providing support on Board related matters.

Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, SharePoint and Convene.
Understanding and appreciation of business principles and international development.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

Willingness to work across time-zones as required
Appreciation and support of MEDAs faith statement, values and goals
Ability and willingness for occasional travel
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, personable and polished demeanor
Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced business environment.
Judgement, tact and diplomacy to handle sensitive and confidential matters
Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and judgment
