Salary: $23 - $25 Hourly

Position Summary:

The Timbuktu Trailblazers Employment Program Facilitator will play a key role in delivering ACCECs Youth Employment Program, which aims to support ACB youth facing barriers to employment. This role involves planning, facilitating, and supporting employment, skills development training, and quality work experiences to help participants successfully transition into the labour market.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Facilitation and Coordination:

  • Deliver and facilitate up to 8 weeks of Employment Skills Training for each intake.
  • Support youth participants in developing essential workplace skills, employment readiness, and job search strategies.
  • Coordinate with employers to facilitate quality work experiences aligned with participants employment goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant files, attendance records, and progress reports.
  • Support data collection and reporting for program evaluation and compliance with funder requirements.
  • Assist in program promotion, recruitment, and intake of eligible youth.

Participant Support:

  • Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to support personal and professional development.
  • Identify and refer youth to appropriate wraparound supports including childcare, transportation, and living expenses.
  • Develop and monitor personalized action plans for each participant, ensuring they remain on track to achieve their employment objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with community partners, employers, and service providers to create employment and training opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a network of resources and contacts that support youth employability and holistic well-being.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities:

  • This job description is not exhaustive. The Project Coordinator may be required to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Career Development, Human Services, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in employment counselling, youth programming, or facilitation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with racialized and marginalized youth populations.
  • Strong understanding of the systemic barriers youth face in accessing employment and education.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for communication, documentation, and facilitation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, youth-centered environment.
