Project Manager – Site DevelopmentLocation: Kitchener, Ontario (Hybrid/Flexible Options Available)Overview:
An established and respected civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver a variety of site development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and driven team working on impactful land development projects throughout Ontario. The role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking ownership, enjoys a client-facing position, and is motivated by both technical and business success.What You'll DoAs a Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning and execution of land and site development projects—from inception through completion. Your focus will be on client satisfaction, project performance, and team leadership.Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the full project lifecycle for land/site development initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders
  • Identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and contributing to ongoing business development efforts within the Region of Waterloo and surrounding areas
  • Providing technical direction on grading, servicing, and stormwater management design
  • Managing project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and receivables
  • Participating in and leading project meetings with clients, approval authorities, and internal teams
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment
What You Bring
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management role within the engineering consulting industry
  • Professional designation or working towards one (P.Eng. or C.E.T.)
  • Strong understanding of municipal site plan review processes and regional development trends
  • In-depth knowledge of government standards, design guidelines, and relevant legislation
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with civil design tools and software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • A proactive and client-focused approach to project execution and relationship management
