The ideal candidate would be flexible and available to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends, and working between 30-32 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:1) Main Responsibilities
• Transport individuals, staff and community members utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner to their scheduled destination.
• Assist the individuals with tasks and activities as required.
• Complete daily vehicle pre‐trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensures the health, safety and welfare of the members by operating the vehicle according to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and obeying all traffic rules and regulations.
• Determine the most efficient and effective route to the scheduled destination using GPS services.
• Provide high-quality customer service
• Maintains the cleanliness and operating conditions of the vehicle.
• Transport goods and materials to all Reena locations as required.
• Reports accidents, damages and any health and safety-related concerns and submits all relevant documentation to the reporting supervisor.
2) Administrative Responsibilities
• Follow proper procedures for signing in and out of vehicles and cell phones.
• Complete all the required documentation related to the vehicle.
• Collect and submit the expense report to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Complete mandatory training.
Qualifications:• Valid G license with 3-5 years of driving experience.
• Driver's abstract in good standing
• Completion of high school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in the development sector is favourable.
• Technical knowledge and experience in using digital devices and MS Teams.
• Knowledge of road and Ontario traffic rules/laws
• Must pass a mandatory criminal background test.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset
• Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure individuals for transport, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces
• Available to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
