Are you a seasoned supply chain professional ready to own both the planning and procurement functions for a highly technical product portfolio? We're recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing leader whose Canadian subsidiary is a cornerstone of HVAC innovation and energy-efficient solutions tailored for Canada's climate and regulatory demands.
This organization, a long-established presence in Canada, is widely respected for its engineering excellence, sustainable technologies, and commitment to continuous improvement. With a dynamic product mix of over 2,000 SKUs and ongoing supply chain transformation, this is a rare opportunity to step into a critical, high-visibility role with real impact.
About the Role Title:
This is a pivotal position that blends strategic planning with hands-on procurement—ideal for a data-driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Planning & Forecasting
  • Own the end-to-end supply and demand planning process across a diverse HVAC product portfolio.
  • Analyze historical and current trends to produce accurate forecasts and inventory strategies.
  • Improve ERP/MRP integration to move away from manual Excel-based planning.
Procurement & Supply Execution
  • Generate and manage purchase orders tied to forecast models.
  • Partner with global suppliers—particularly in the Far East—to ensure delivery performance and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate master data within ERP systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Liaise with Sales, Finance, and Demand Planning to manage variances and align supply strategies.
  • Support monthly S&OP processes with insights and escalation management.
  • Occasionally interact with distributors or attend customer events.
Process & Compliance
  • Ensure procurement processes are documented and compliant with corporate standards.
  • Prepare supplier pricing documentation and assist with formal procurement paperwork.
  • Act as a planning/purchasing SME during audits and performance reviews.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
You are a strategic, analytical professional with a strong background in planning and procurement—comfortable with technical product complexity, high SKU counts, and ERP environments. You're patient, detail-focused, and able to extract insight from large datasets to support business decisions.
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years in planning roles, with hands-on procurement experience.
  • Background managing technical inventories in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAGE, SAP, Oracle, or AS400.
Preferred Background:
  • Industry experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, electronics, or similar technical sectors.
  • Understanding of distributor and contractor sales channels is an asset.
Top 5 Skills:
  1. Advanced Planning & Forecasting
  2. Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
  3. ERP/MRP System Expertise
  4. Cross-Functional Communication
  5. Detail Orientation & KPI Reporting
Work Environment & Culture
  • Team: Collaborative and structured; based in Markham with remote counterparts in BC.
  • Schedule: Standard 9–5 with some flexibility; occasional late meetings with international stakeholders.
  • Culture: Transparent, well-organized, and supportive—valuing process discipline and clear communication.
Why Apply?
  • Be part of a respected brand with deep roots in innovation and performance.
  • Join a company undergoing meaningful supply chain transformation.
  • Take ownership of a high-impact role with long-term growth potential.
