Role overview:

As a Financial Analyst at Flashfood, you will play a key role in driving data-informed financial decisions and enabling operational excellence. Youll partner across departments to build forecasting models, analyze performance trends, and support budgeting and strategic planning initiatives. Your work will directly impact company growth, profitability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Build and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and long-term strategic decisions
  
• Support annual and quarterly budgeting processes, including variance analysis and reporting
  
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial performance reports for leadership and board-level review
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Product to align financial goals and resourcing
  

Business Decision Support

• Analyze key business drivers, trends, and KPIs to deliver actionable insights
  
• Identify opportunities to optimize spend and improve margins through data-led insights
  
• Partner with the Data and Strategy teams to build out dashboards that support real-time decision-making
  
• Support strategic initiatives including pricing models, cost-benefit analyses, and go-to-market planning
  

Process & Tools

• Improve and automate FP&A processes and reporting using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and BI platforms.
  
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools
  
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across finance-related reporting
  

Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business analysis (preferably at a high-growth startup or in tech)
  
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with experience building financial models
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
  
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
• Experience working with BI tools and financial planning systems is an asset
