Job Description

CEDA is currently hiring an experienced and dependable Class 1 Winch Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves hauling a wide variety of loads using winch trucks and specialized trailers. Loads may include sea cans (shipping containers), trucks and other heavy or oversized equipment. If you're safety-minded, self-motivated, and looking to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong team, we want to hear from you.

Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 1 winch trucks to haul a variety of loads across varying distances.
  • Secure, load, and unload equipment safely and efficiently using winches and rigging gear.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of loads, mileage, and inspections.
  • Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries.
  • Follow all safety protocols, load securement regulations, and transportation laws.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 2 years of winch truck operation experience.
  • Proven experience hauling a variety of equipment and load types.
  • Strong understanding of load securement, winch operation, and trailer configuration.
  • Ability to operate scissor neck and other specialized trailers.
  • Physically fit and capable of handling heavy-duty work.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Safety certifications required: H2S Alive, and CSO
