Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Construction Coordinator, to join our team, based out of Bethune, SK. The Construction Coordinator will interpret and analyze design drawings and specifications to ensure constructability and alignment with project requirement. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in construction coordination, field engineering, or project execution within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
Bantrel is working with K+S Potash (KSPC) as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT), to expand the KSPC Bethune Potash Mine in near Moose Jaw Saskatchewan from 2.2 to 3.0M tonnes per annum over the next 5 years. The final production capacity is intended to grow over decades to 4M tonnes per year, doubling the current production output of potash. Key personnel will support the project from Saskatoon and Bethune, with additional support staff supporting from Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto. {NTD: Site hours / shift rotation options required from project}
This position is based in Bethune, Saskatchewan, with a Monday to Thursday schedule consisting of 10-hour shifts.
Relocation & Living Out Allowance:
Preference will be given to candidates who reside locally. However, for preferred candidates who currently reside within Canada, relocation assistance or a living out allowance (LOA) may be available, subject to eligibility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Champion Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and WorkFace Planning (WFP), ensuring field teams are aligned and supported.
- Collaborate closely with field supervisors, contractors, and OEM representatives to coordinate daily construction activities.
- Monitor and validate construction progress, material availability, and schedule forecasts in collaboration with project controls.
- Identify and communicate field changes, ensuring proper documentation and management review before execution.
- Support temporary infrastructure planning, site logistics, and access coordination across workfronts.
- Participate in field inspections and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
- Track installed quantities, update project tracking systems, and support short-term planning (e.g., 3-week lookaheads).
- Prepare daily progress reports and contribute to weekly/monthly dashboards using project systems and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3–5 years of construction field experience in industrial, mining, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with WorkFace Planning, AWP, and construction progress tracking.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a field environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction / Field experience.
- EIT registration or eligibility is an asset.
- Experience with 3D modeling, CAD tools, and Quantity Take-Offs (QTO).
- Prior exposure to mining or heavy industrial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of construction management systems and digital tools.
