Since opening in 2019, we've innovated and expanded our state-of-the art classes across multiple channels: In-studio, Sweat in the Park, Sweat Live, Sweat on Demand, and Sweat on the Roof – a one-of-a-kind, outdoor rooftop fitness studio in the heart of downtown Toronto. In 2023, we opened our first international sister location, Silver Springs, a boutique yoga and Pilates oasis in the heart of Los Angeles. Now, we have launched our second location in Toronto at The Well in December 2023. ABOUT THE ROLE:
Tonic House at The Well is a curated lounge and bar concept that transitions from a productive daytime workspace into a vibrant, elevated cocktail venue. We are seeking a dynamic Full Time, Tonic House Lead Attendant to oversee day to day operations, ensure service excellence, and lead our Tonic House team with integrity and professionalism. This individual is equal parts host, bartender, and leader—someone who thrives in creating memorable guest experiences and enjoys coaching a team to success.
The Tonic House Lead supports the Food & Beverage and Corporate Partnerships Managers in driving operational efficiency and team morale, while upholding the elevated standard of hospitality and design that defines the S&T experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and support the Tonic House team, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Foster a positive and professional work culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct shift briefs, delegate tasks, and ensure team members are aligned with service standards and expectations.
- Coach new and existing staff on cocktail preparation, guest engagement, and hospitality best practices.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Serve as the on-site lead host and bartender during high-volume periods, modeling exemplary service at every touchpoint.
- Engage with guests, build relationships with members, and troubleshoot any guest concerns or escalations with professionalism.
- Ensure Tonic House rules and etiquette are consistently upheld, preserving the tone and ambiance of the venue.
Operations & Inventory
- Oversee daily space setup and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization are top priorities.
- Maintain stock levels, assist with ordering, and track usage of alcohol, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Support event execution on-site and coordinate closely with the Events and F&B Management teams on Tonic House programming.
- Complete administrative duties such as (but not limited to) updating MarketMan, reconciling invoices, and assisting with the creation and execution of run of show documents for events.
Innovation & Growth
- Contribute to seasonal cocktail menu development and staff tastings.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Participate in planning and hosting community events, member activations, and private bookings.
The successful candidate will have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in a retail, cafe or hospitality environment is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience as a bartender is an asset, but not required.
- Food Handlers certification is an asset, but not required.
- Smart Serve certification is an asset, but not required.
