- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels for production and distribution.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and warehousing teams to ensure material availability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; reconcile any variances.
- Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Track and report key performance metrics related to purchasing, costs and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports on inventory status, forecast accuracy, and material usage.
- Manage obsolete, slow-moving, and excess inventory and develop strategies for disposition.
- Train and supervise inventory staff or warehouse personnel, if applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory software.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), and other inventory optimization methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience with automation tools and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Background in data analysis or logistics planning.
