Resource Profile
- Client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect with proven experience working in insurance company, preferably working with Guidewire insurance suite, complex integrations in heterogeneous technology environment.
- The person will develop comprehensive solution strategies and create key documentation, such as diagrams, models, and use cases, to ensure clear and effective solutions. From initial planning to design and implementation, the Solution Architect will ensure that solutions adhere to business strategies, policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Person has experience in developing automation, AI/ML, Chatbot solutions.
- Solution Architect will design integrated, scalable, and secure solutions that meet both current and future business needs. They leverage enterprise technology assets and modern development practices to optimize efficiency, performance, and sustainability across solutions.
- Collaboration is central to this role, as Solution Architects work closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives and shape technical solutions. They also partner with Senior Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects to develop and maintain a unified architectural strategy, ensuring alignment between the current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") states of systems, processes, and technology.
Resource Responsibilities
Solution Architecture:
- Contribute to effort, cost, timeline, and resource estimates for solutions.
- Review and approve functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Lead architecture workshops to align stakeholders on solution design.
- Translate business and technical requirements into a traceability document and architectural blueprint.
- Evaluate and recommend solution architecture options, presenting pros and cons to stakeholders for approval.
- Understand business drivers and capabilities, defining enterprise solution designs to meet strategic outcomes.
- Document end-to-end solution architecture, addressing business, application, data, security, and infrastructure requirements in the Solution Architecture Document (SAD).
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align solution designs with enterprise architecture strategies and standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., infrastructure, security, privacy) to refine designs as needed.
- Oversee development to ensure solution designs are implemented as planned.
- Mentor junior architects, ensuring consistent solution design practices.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Create clear and impactful presentations that effectively convey objectives, problems, processes, solutions, recommendations, and roadmaps.

Interaction with Product Teams:
- Understands business drivers and capabilities (both current and future), collaborating closely with product owners and managers to assess technical feasibility and ensure the development of a robust architecture plan that supports evolving business requirements throughout the product lifecycle, driving the organization's strategic outcomes.
Interaction with Enterprise Architecture:
- Work with Enterprise Architect to ensure alignment with architecture directions, reference architectures, strategies and roadmaps.
- Work with Enterprise Architect to evaluate changes to determine the impact and right level of governance.
Architecture Governance:
- Prepare all necessary documentation for review.
- Lead solution architecture reviews with stakeholders, incorporating feedback to ensure alignment with architectural principles, quality standards, security, compliance, reusability, and maintainability.
- Present the solution architecture in governance forums, leading the review process to secure approval.
- Track and ensure timely resolution of action items from architecture governance processes, closing them as appropriate.
- Once the architecture solution is approved, oversee the detailed design and development phases, ensuring alignment with the approved architecture and promptly addressing any deviations through established resolution processes.
- Prepare and present the architecture solution in governance meetings, securing approval and addressing any outstanding action items.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers (PM) and solution managers (SM) to ensure all architecture deliverables, dependencies, reviews, RACI assignments, and governance activities are integrated into the project plan.
- Ensure appropriate contingency is built into the project plan to accommodate potential deviations from the planned schedule.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to keep stakeholders informed on progress and any emerging issues.
Risk and Compliance Management:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register for the portfolio.
- Create a roadmap with dependencies and estimated costs to address identified risks, actively participating in mitigation efforts.
- Engage in internal and external audit activities, collaborating with stakeholders to address any identified issues or deficiencies.
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong experience of developing end-to-end technology solutions in multi–Cloud Hybrid environment.
- Strong experience with Application and Data Architecture.
- Expert level proficiency in integration technologies
- Experience in developing automation, AI/ML solutions leveraging diverse technologies.
- Strong experience in BI, Reporting and data analytics.
- Experience in database, data warehousing technologies and tools for both On-Premise and Cloud (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Datalake, Azure Synapse, Parquet, Cognos).
- Experience working with GW Insurance suite products, data modeling and database design.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to nontechnical team members and clients.
- Proven experience with end-to-end business process mapping, business and technical requirements analysis, business planning, modeling, verification and methodology and product development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation skills and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Working with Agile practices and associated skills including user story writing and defining user acceptance criteria.
- Experience working with legacy technologies such as Mainframe, COBOL etc.
