Tire Mounter

Tirecraft is a proudly Canadian owned and operated expert in tires and tire services. We are presently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Tire Mounter in our Distribution Centre. We are looking for someone who is hard working (must be able to lift 100lbs frequently) and has a willingness to learn. Although this position is mounting tires, please note that the task is repetitive in nature and will be performed throughout the entire shift. Training will be provided. Responsibilities:

• Visually inspect all machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Mount, lift, and stack tires (50-100lbs)
• Dismount/mount Commercial and AG Truck Tires
• Tire pressing
• Load and unload delivery trucks as needed
• Accurately complete all documentation/paperwork
• Lead the team during the day shift (8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday)
• Establish and communicate team priorities, and delegate tasks to the Tire Mounter Team Members
• Train new hires and casual helpers
• Function as a liaison between the Tire Mounter Team and the Mounted Wheel supervisor
• Direct labour tasks with minimal supervision
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Forklift license is an asset; will train otherwise
• Mechanical aptitude
• Physically fit, must be able to lift up to 100lbs
• Comfortable with giving Team Members direction, and coaching
• Previous experience with commercial tires is an asset, but not required
