Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Accounting & Finance recruitment, has partnered with our client, a mid-sized, well-established company with operations in Winnipeg, to recruit an Accounts Receivable Administrator. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Administrator will be an active member of the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions, including deposits, statements, and customer file maintenance.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Collect receivables and follow up on outstanding accounts promptly.
Release credit holds as necessary.
Review and approve new account requests and credit limit increases in coordination with the Credit Specialist.
Monitor credit limits and past due accounts.
Handle customer and internal inquiries professionally and efficiently.
Process credit card payments when required.
Generate and send invoices promptly.
Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts accurately.
Enter data into ERP systems (e.g., Navision) to set up and maintain customer accounts.
Update spreadsheets and produce reports using Microsoft Excel.
Respond to branch and customer credit inquiries and address any issues.
Run and distribute monthly reports as needed.
Maintain filing systems.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (preferred)
- Experience with Quickbooks (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong Organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
- Ability to working independently and in a team setting
