Reporting to Energy Management Systems (EMS) Manager you will be part of a team supporting energy solutions for large business and institutional customers including electric vehicle charging, battery storage, solar PV and power generation. Your work will help unlock the full potential of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, driving the transition to a clean energy economy.
As a Charging Support Operator, you will be responsible for supporting successful charging operations as fleets scale. This is a critical part of transition to electric fleet management. This role will work on rotating shift coverage for approximately 6 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Support
Work closely with PowerON clients' EV operations teams on-site, supporting their charging operations, including but not limited to the following activities: monitoring depot bus movements, unplugging and replugging busses, communicating with stakeholders on site, keeping logs, monitoring applications for system status, communicating with remote monitors, and other charge operations-related onsite duties as required
Problem-solve and initiate communications protocols to resolve client issues
Monitor charge and energy management software systems for issue identification and aid in troubleshooting
Work with PowerON Operations and Maintenance, as well as Energy Management teams regarding asset monitoring, performance analysis and reporting
This position provides 24/7 coverage on a rotating shift schedule.
Optimize internal processes to improve efficiency.

Keep detailed records in a comprehensive yet digestible manner which can be shared with all stakeholders
Support recordkeeping, and data management system expansion
Provide regular updates on charging operations to key stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years relevant experience, whether in transit, operations, logistics/warehousing, or similar
Knowledge of any of the following is an asset: operations, EV charging, behind-the-meter DERs (battery energy storage systems, solar, etc), charge management systems, energy management systems, aggregation platforms, demand response and load management.
Enrolment in an electrical apprentice an asset but not required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent people and communication skills, and/or history of direct client support in English
