Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee mid- to large-scale commercial construction projects in the Calgary region. The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of field leadership experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality buildings on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, site safety, and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met

· Develop and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager

· Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers

· Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OH&S regulations

· Conduct site inspections to verify quality, progress, and adherence to plans/specifications

· Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve site issues

· Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, safety meetings, and inspections

· Lead regular site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders

Qualifications:

· 8–10 years of experience in a Superintendent or Site Lead role on commercial projects (e.g., retail, office, mixed-use, institutional)

· Journeyman trade certification or construction management diploma considered an asset

· Strong knowledge of Alberta Building Code, site safety standards, and construction best practices

· Demonstrated experience with construction scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore)

· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

· Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
