Quality Control CO-OP/Internship (Hybrid)

Survalent is seeking a dynamic, adaptable, and driven Quality Control co-op student/intern for an exciting 8-month work term. In this role, you'll help support the development, enhancement, and release of features within Survalent's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Verify and validate product and project requirements
  • Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and test cases
  • Prepare and manage the test environment
  • Execute functional, performance, and integration test cases
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts and packages
  • Report defects, and follow up on resolutions
  • Support customer and sales teams with technical consultancy
  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams to build the most reliable solutions
  • And other duties as required

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be enrolled in a university program specializing in software development, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in the software development lifecycle, software testing, and system integration
  • Familiar with waterfall, iterative, and agile methodology
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, effective verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Computer programming and object-oriented design concepts is an asset
  • Familiarity with ADMS, SCADA, OMS, DMS, TCP/IP, FTP, SOA/XML, Modbus, DNP3, SNMP, is an asset
