ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a highly driven Enterprise SaaS Sales Executive with experience in energy analytics to join our remote team.This role focuses on selling our advanced SaaS-based analytics platform for energy markets - especially in theelectric power sector -to clients like utilities, financial institutions, and energy trading companies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas for io's suite of analytic solutions.
- Prospect and generate new leads within the target market (energy companies, utilities, financial institutions, ) in the Upper Midwest USA and Canada.
- Conduct thorough discovery calls to understand client needs and demonstrate how io's solutions can address their challenges and create value.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to close, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and hand-off to the customer success
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships based on trust and mutual
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including pre-sales, product, and customer success, to ensure a seamless customer
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and io's product roadmap.
- Accurately forecast sales opportunities and maintain a robust sales pipeline in CRM.
- Represent io at industry conferences and events as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related
5+ years of proven experience in software/SaaS solution selling, with a strong emphasis on complex enterprise sales cycles.
- 2-3yearsofexperienceinenergyanalytics,preferablywithintheelectricpower sector, is highly
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts and their business value to diverse
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal
- Strong negotiation and closing
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently1in a remote
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
Preferred Skills s Experience:
- Familiarity with financial modeling, risk management, and portfolio optimization concepts in the energy
- Understanding of power markets, renewable energy, and commodity
- Experience selling to electric utilities, independent power producers, and energy trading
