Are you highly organized, detail-driven, and passionate about getting the numbers right? We're looking for a Payroll/Accounting Co-ordinator to join our Finance team! In this role, you'll be responsible for processing payroll, managing tips and gratuities, and supporting accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable. You'll play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring our team members are paid correctly and on time.
What You'll Do
- Process bi-weekly payroll with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage and distribute gratuities and tips in accordance with internal policies.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Support accounts payable/receivable and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Assist with month-end procedures and year-end tax filings (T4s, ROEs, etc.).
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries with professionalism and care.
What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or Business Administration.
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation or actively working toward it.
- Experience with payroll and accounting software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and time management skills.
- Previous experience in hospitality, resort, or multi-department operations is an asset.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Light lifting of office supplies or files (up to 20 lbs).
Mental Requirements
- High level of accuracy in numerical data.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
