ROLE

The Family Support Community Worker operates community-based programmes and services for parents, caregivers and children using a community development approach, under the direction of the Perinatal Parent Support Program Coordinator, and in consultation with community residents. The FSCW delivers educational programmes focused on prenatal education/parenting and/or one on one parenting support to vulnerable families, pregnant and/or with infants/young children, both on site and in satellite locations. This work is done within the scope of practice mandated by the relevant professional college, if applicable.
