Job Overview
The Quality Management System Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization's products, services, and processes meet established quality standards. This position involves overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, supporting compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering continuous improvement across all operational areas. This role will also be responsible of administering the JDRF Document Control System.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, or other industry-specific standards).
- Conduct regular internal audits in an ISO-compliant environment to assess conformance and proactively identify areas for QMS improvement.
- Lead or actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of new or existing QMS processes, manuals, and procedures (e.g., SOPs).
- Ensure organizational compliance with regulations, corporate standards (COPs), and ISO-based industry standards through structured SOP and COP revisions.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update practices accordingly.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Conduct process mapping sessions, perform gap analyses, and analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with departments to implement process enhancements and best practices.
- Lead or participate in Gemba walks and cross-functional process audits to support SOP development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track and report quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
- Organize training sessions for employees on quality policies, procedures, and standards.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Investigate and resolve QMS audit non-compliance issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain records of incidents and actions taken.
- Perform administration duties for all documentation releases (e.g., NPI design docs, Procurement Specifications, Assembly Procedures) in the JDRF Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage PLM system.
- Coordinate the distribution and implementation of change management requirements (e.g., ECNs, ECRs) and lead Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure controlled internal and external adjustments.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of audits, reviews, and compliance activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).
- Prior experience revising SOPs, COPs, or leading QMS-related initiatives in compliance with ISO standards.
- Exposure to or experience in the electronic manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in gap analysis and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software, tools, and preferably Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage PLM.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in a quality-related role is highly desirable.
