Salary:

MFM Limited Partnership is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for the position of
Automotive Service Technician (AST)to join our operation at Kearl Lake. MFM Limited Partnership, a Mikisew Group company, provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection and light duty repair services.

Schedule:14 days on, 14 days off, 11.50 hours per day. Work is conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) -formerlyknown as a Compressed Work Week.

Work Location:Position will be based at the Kearl Lake facility, located North of Fort McMurray, AB.

This is a
Fly In/Fly Out opportunity with camp/accommodations provided. Flights provided from the hub centers of Edmonton, AB and/or Calgary, AB with direct flights to site. Workers are responsible for travel to/from the travel hubs and their residence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair work and routine maintenance on light duty vehicles and equipment,
  • Check light duty equipment such as light duty trucks, vans, cars and support equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust, repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
  • Complete service reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician (AST)
  • Light Duty Technician Certification
    • Red Seal Certification preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract (Mandatory)
  • First Aid Certification required
  • 5 years experience working in a light duty automotive facility servicing light vehicles and support equipment.
  • Successful candidates are responsible for providing their own general tools. A tool allowance is provided as part of the compensation package.
