PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited, to the following duties outlined below:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of employees on the midnight shift, ensuring production goals and schedules are met.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact between employees and management, communicating shift updates, concerns, and operational needs.
- Assist in scheduling work assignments and ensuring proper resource allocation.
- Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Operate machinery and equipment as required to support production.
- Ensure the timely movement of materials and products within the facility.
- Monitor workflow and identify any issues that may affect production efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and operational problems, escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the staff and yourself.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain seamless production and logistics operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and work areas to identify hazards.
- Ensure employees use proper protective equipment (PPE) and following OHSA safety guidelines and regulations.
- Report incidents, near misses, and any potential safety concerns to management.
- Implement and promote Lean/5S principles to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace at all times.
Knowledge & Skills Requirement:
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment is required.
- Strong understanding of machine operation, material handling, or warehouse logistics is required.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Working knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers for tracking inventory, reporting, and communication.
Salary & Conditions:
- Job Location: Ammega Canada Inc., 385 Ambassador Drive,
- Salary: $25 hourly
- Days of work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Shift timing is 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
The hiring is open to all applicants able to work 40 hours per week.
