The Editorial Designer will play a key role in supporting new business proposals, RFP responses, and pitch presentations. You will bring visual storytelling to life by transforming content into polished, on-brand layouts across PowerPoint, Word, and Keynote. You are someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the importance of brand alignment, and can balance creativity with structure. Working collaboratively with the growth and creative teams, you'll elevate how ChangeMakers shows up in every new business opportunity.

You're detail-oriented and passionate about visual communication. You bring structure to content and create designs that make complex ideas easy to understand. You take ownership of your work, manage multiple deadlines, and proactively offer design solutions. You will be expected to work from the downtown Toronto office for a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the growth, marketing, and creative teams to design compelling and visually consistent business proposals and presentations

• Expert use of PowerPoint, Word, and Keynote to develop high-quality layouts, visual narratives, infographics, and templates

• Design and format documents within established brand guidelines while elevating the visual quality and storytelling impact

• Ensure alignment between content structure and visual hierarchy to improve clarity and engagement

• Work with complex templates and creatively solve layout challenges under tight timelines

• Provide quality control and proofing for final deliverables

• Participate in internal briefings and project planning sessions

• Proactively suggest design improvements and creative enhancements based on industry best practices

• Maintain organized file structures and version control

Must have:

• A strong portfolio showcasing design samples from previous roles, especially proposals, presentations, and document-based work

• 3+ years of experience as a designer or editorial designer in an agency, corporate, or consulting environment

• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Keynote

• Strong understanding of layout, visual hierarchy, typography, and branding

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Nice to have:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign)

• Experience with Microsoft 365

• Working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT)
