Our client is a leading international infrastructure group with over a century of experience delivering complex and iconic civil engineering projects across the globe. Known for large-scale, sustainable transportation systems, hydropower, and urban mobility developments, the company is rapidly growing its footprint in Canada.
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of this group to recruit a Business Development Manager who will report directly to the Chief Commercial Manager for Canada. The role is focused on supporting business growth, identifying strategic partners, and contributing to the pursuit of major infrastructure bids nationwide.
What Youll DoAs Business Development Manager, youll play a central role in:
Market Analysis & Opportunity DevelopmentResearch and monitor the Canadian infrastructure market to identify new project opportunities
Deliver insights to guide strategic decisions and pipeline prioritization
Evaluate and engage with potential partners including engineering firms, subcontractors, and international JV participants
Coordinate with internal and global procurement teams to enhance project qualifications
Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to prepare bid documents
Support stakeholder presentations and responses to RFQs/RFPs
Maintain a clear and organized record of submissions and approvals
Represent the company in meetings with clients, partners, and suppliers across Canada and abroad
Participate in site visits to assess project feasibility, risks, and local dynamics
Ensure alignment across legal, procurement, finance, and technical teams
Follow up on pre-qualification documentation, compliance processes, and governance approvals
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Business, or related field
Experience: 2+ years in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors ideally in business development, preconstruction, or partnerships
Languages: Fully bilingual French and English (written and spoken)

Strong understanding of the Canadian infrastructure and procurement landscape
Experience with partner negotiations and joint ventures is an asset
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international environment
Mobility: Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally
