The Role:
Were seeking an experienced and tech-savvy IT Manager to lead our IT support operations with a focus on device management, cybersecurity, and compliance. This role will have you overseeing the management of our Mac devices, ensuring compliance with IT standards, and implementing security policies as directed by the COO/CTO. You will be pivotal in maintaining a secure IT infrastructure, providing leadership for our IT team, and working closely with other departments to deliver impactful solutions.
This role is full-time, Monday - Friday. We are a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and optional remote days (Wednesday, Friday). The position requires you to be located in the Kelowna area and be able to reliably commute into the office downtown in the Innovation Center.
Expected start date for this role is July 2025
Salary Range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
Your Responsibilities
As a key member of the IT/Operations team, you will manage and oversee the following areas:
IT Operations & Device Management:
- Lead the management, maintenance, and deployment of Mac devices across the company using Mosyle or similar MDM solutions.
- Ensure smooth IT operations by monitoring the lifecycle of devices, overseeing system configurations, updates, backups, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Manage the deployment and ongoing support of operating systems and software applications on Mac devices, ensuring consistent and secure device performance.
- Manage support and deployment of company networking - wifi, routers, internet.
Maintain office meeting and conferencing rooms to ensure they are equipped and functional and recommend improvements when necessary. - Cybersecurity & Compliance:
Develop, roll out, and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices as defined by the CTO. - Monitor security vulnerabilities, breaches, and risks, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations (eg: GDPR, COPPA, FERPA, etc.) and internal cybersecurity standards.
- Oversee and monitor endpoint security solutions (e.g., ESET, Crowdstrike) and other security-related tools.
- Educate employees on security protocols and conduct regular cybersecurity training to keep staff updated.
IT Security Questionnaire Fulfilment:
- Review and complete IT security questionnaires submitted by prospects during the sales process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather accurate and up-to-date responses.
- Maintain a centralized repository of approved security documentation and standard responses.
- Track and update recurring questionnaire requests to ensure timely and consistent submissions.
IT Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Collaborate with the COO & CTO and other departments to understand business needs and translate them into IT solutions.- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, device management, and support procedures to streamline operations.
- Ensure seamless communication between the IT department and other teams, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
Vendor & Contract Management:
- Assess the security posture of third-party vendors by reviewing their security documentation, certifications, and practices.
- Coordinate with vendors to complete security questionnaires and clarify responses as needed.
- Work with internal teams to evaluate risk and ensure vendor compliance with security standards.
Best Practices & Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify and recommend improvements to existing IT practices, ensuring that processes are optimized for efficiency and security.- Ensure that all IT systems adhere to organizational IT standards, providing regular reviews and updates to systems and practices.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and support business continuity by overseeing the security and backup of all critical systems and data.
Education: Degree or certificates in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 4-6 years in IT management or desktop support, with a strong focus on Mac devices and device lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in managing Mac devices and macOS.
- Experience with Mosyle or similar MDM solutions and Apple Business Manager
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (e.g., ESET, Crowdstrike, etc).
- Experience with completing IT Security Questionaires
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with identity management solutions (e.g., Okta, DUO, etc).
- Strong experience with Google Workspace administration
Technical Skills
Proficiency in managing Mac devices and macOS.
- Experience with Mosyle or similar MDM solutions and Apple Business Manager
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (e.g., ESET, Crowdstrike, etc).
- Experience with completing IT Security Questionaires

- Familiarity with identity management solutions (e.g., Okta, DUO, etc).
- Strong experience with Google Workspace administration
Soft Skills

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Bonus points for:
- Certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or CompTIA IT Fundamentals+.
- Experience in deploying and managing endpoint security solutions such as ESET, Crowdstrike, etc
- Experience in a SOC2, ISO or similar environment
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
