The Position:

We are actively seeking an Intermediate Civil Technologist or Engineer-in-Training to join our growing team. This position can be based out of either our Toronto or Burlington, ON office.

This position will be primarily office based completing Civil design using Civil3D. Site Visits will be required on occasion to complete reviews of construction activities.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drawings, sketches, designs and reports under the supervision of an Engineer.
  • Assist with preparation of preliminary and detailed design of grading, drainage, servicing, ESC plans for land development.
  • Perform design calculations for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water supply and stormwater management facilities.
  • A valid drivers license is required as some travel and fieldwork may be required.

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of civil design experience in Ontario.
  • Proficiency in Civil3D is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others within the team and clients.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Assets to the Position:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology (Civil, Environmental Engineering, or other related field) from an accredited post-secondary institution, with coursework to include urban water systems and municipal infrastructure.
  • Experience working for a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm.
  • Experience using PCSWMM or other hydraulic network modelling software.
  • Experience using WaterCAD or other pressure network modelling software
