About the RoleAs a Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing valet and parking operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport. You'll supervise shift activities, lead and support a frontline team, and act as a key contact for clients, employees, and guests. Your role is essential in upholding Indigo's service standards and operational excellence in a fast-paced airport environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop frontline team members, ensuring performance aligns with Indigo's values and service standards.
Supervise daily shift operations at Pearson Airport, ensuring smooth execution and quick resolution of client, employee, and customer concerns.
Respond to emails, address customer complaints, and follow up on pending requests or investigations.
Support payroll approvals, staff scheduling, and operational reporting.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
Delegate responsibilities and ensure team accountability during shifts.
Maintain accurate records, audits, and operational logs (daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
Champion a safe and respectful work environment, especially within unionized settings.
Take ownership of projects or initiatives as assigned.
Minimum 5 years of management experience, ideally in operations, customer service, or parking services.
Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset.
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
A valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs.
Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset.
Ability to inspire a team while working independently when needed.
Detail-oriented with a focus on results and service quality.
Flexible availability to meet operational needs, especially in an airport setting.
