JOB TITLE Employment Launch Facilitator
REPORTS TO Programs and Services Director
MAIN OBJECTIVE The Employment Launch Facilitator works within the Employment-First team. These programs focus on engaging and empowering participants living with disabilities to develop social skills, personal development, community connections, and employment skills.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Employment Launch Facilitator is responsible for delivering Key Industries programs using resources that focus on promoting and achieving individualized employment goals that align with New Brunswicks Employment First standards. The Key Industries program delivery model provides opportunities for participants who live with disabilities to explore and engage in community, employment, personal development, and purposeful activities that assist in enhancing each participants Employment Service Plan and personal life goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver programming that supports Individualised Employment & Support Plans (IESPs).
- Research, design, and implement curriculum and programming based on participant interests, utilising the essential skills methodology.
- Use creativity and innovation to support participants employment goals and track progress.
- Identify and coordinate community-based opportunities (volunteering, projects, recreation) that build employment skills.
- Assist with resumes, job readiness skills, and review weekly job bank postings.
- Model professional workplace behaviour and ensure program safety.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health, or sensory challenges is an asset.
- Two to four years of experience in program development, implementation, and facilitation.

- Understanding of needs and challenges faced by people with disabilities and mental health conditions.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to facilitate programs and provide feedback and support.
- Skilled in curriculum development, record keeping, documentation, and professional interaction.
Problem Solving & Organisation
- Able to address sensitive issues and mediate conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
- Adaptable and organised in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn innovative technologies.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary education or certification in a related field such as Social Science, Adult Education, Human Services, or Supported Employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Approved Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Social Development Check.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record are assets.
