Job Title: Sales & Marketing Specialist
Reports to: Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing Operations
Responsible For: N/A
Job Summary: The Sales & Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing Operations in running the pack line efficiently and effectively, and for making strong connections between reported data and operations. responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align with customer demands, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacities. This role involves coordinating with Buyer, suppliers, production team, and quality control teams to ensure timely availability of materials, correct raw inventory for the designated process style and efficient workflow. This role requires an individual who exemplifies the company values of humble, driven and solutions oriented.

Role and Accountability:
  • Recommend labour allocations throughout the packline to ensure all positions are covered so the line can run at maximized efficiency.
  • Monitor and review employee payroll, approving and submitting weekly reports to payroll.
  • Provide support in compiling and balancing packout reports to shipment documentation to sales orders to ensure 3-way match to ensure accurate packing numbers and equitable outcomes for all growers.
  • Work with Senior Manager Sales and Marketing Operations to create a rolling 3 week forecast for packing, selection of fruit and ship times
  • Work with Warehousing team to maintain an accurate inventory level to be analyzed and assessed by the Senior Manager Sales and Marketing Operations
  • Support in calculating daily packline production efficiencies and recommend necessary adjustments to operations and processes.
  • Coordinate with the shipping and receiving department to ensure timely sale/delivery of product and the receipt and storage of packaging supplies.
  • Ensure that FAMOUS tag inventory is accurate as packaging is used and packed inventory is produced by monitoring the success of FAMOUS inventory procedures and standards
  • Forecast required packaging materials, order, and maintain necessary inventory levels.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Manage inventory associated with product recalls.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are being met at all times.
  • Assist with the purchasing and procurement of supplies for the operation.
  • Work with the QC department to complete storage holdings reports.
  • Monitor employee hours, absenteeism, and manage holidays/time off schedules
  • Manage employee training and maintain employee records, including the onboarding process and ongoing re-training.
  • Provide support to, or fill in for, duties of the Packline Leads as needed.
  • Attend Level 10 meetings and other department meetings, representing the Project Manager role and championing initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate constructively with the team to discuss challenges and identify solutions.
  • Use Microsoft To-Do for task tracking and reminders, ensuring efficient organization and completion of daily tasks to promote productivity and accountability within the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay on task and manage multiple projects and reports regularly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with different audiences.
  • Ability to approach problems with a solutions-oriented mindset and work constructively with all team members.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Agility to adapt to change and manage evolving issues or situations.
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Familiarity with computers and office software.

Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary education relative to business administration, human relations, or related field.
  • Experience managing people is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, JHSC, Food Safety Management Systems, FAMOUS, and Quality Assurance are valuable but not required.
  • Commitment to continuing education that supports awareness and understanding of new operations that may present opportunities or threats to the production line or organization.
