Our client is offering a unique opportunity for a well-rounded HR Generalist to work closely with experienced HR professionals while supporting a diverse client base. In this role, you'll report directly to the founder and be the primary HR contact for several valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across all areas of HR within small to mid-sized businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main HR point of contact for assigned clients, both remotely and onsite.
- Provide HR consulting services including ongoing support and project-based work.
- Conduct HR audits to assess compliance and identify gaps.
- Develop and update key HR documents including employee handbooks, employment and contractor agreements, and internal policies.
- Design and deliver employee training (via LMS or customized sessions).
- Advise on health & safety compliance, benefits, payroll practices, and performance management.
- Support clients with:
- Joint Health and Safety Committee setup
- Leave and absence management
- Compensation and benefits analysis
- Recruitment and onboarding/offboarding
- Employee relations and conflict resolution
- Workplace investigations and terminations
- HRIS implementation and usage
- A true HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Comfortable with hands-on work—from data entry and admin to executive-level HR strategy.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation (CHRP preferred).
- Broad knowledge of HR practices and policies.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and digital tools.
- Able to work Monday–Friday during business hours, with flexibility for urgent needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
