OVERVIEW:

The Marketing and Category Administrative Assistant works collaboratively with the category and marketing teams to support in-store promotions, merchandising and advertising activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Category Team

  • Create notifications to vendors and suppliers of store operator changeovers, store closures, renovations, and re-openings.
  • Work with store teams to coordinate fixture and equipment pick up, storage, and re-delivery.
  • Create and manage the Planogram schedule, to include establishing calendar reminders for the Category Managers.
  • Initial proofing of bi-monthly promotional category inputs into the marketing spreadsheet
  • Create vendor follow-up mechanism to chase outstanding billings.
  • Provide support to the Category team on special projects, as required.
  • Provide office reception duties to include receiving and distributing mail, deliveries and mail-outs.
  • Coordinate the weekly ordering of office supplies.
  • Work with office teams to order kitchen supplies.

Marketing:

  • Ensure the monthly marketing (MM) spreadsheets are updated and uploaded to Jolt every two months for each marketing cycle.
  • Review the monthly marketing submissions to confirm completeness and accuracy prior to sharing with marketing design colleagues.
  • Translation of marketing / merchandising communications, digital and print.
  • Organize signage by category and identify and order missing items.
  • Pack and distribute promotional signage to sites, as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • This is an entry-level position suitable for a candidate working towards a career in category management or marketing.
  • A diploma or degree in business or marketing would be a benefit, or equivalent years of retail experience.
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages is required, both verbal and written.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills are a significant asset.
  • Customer-centric mindset, focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and thrives in independent and collaborative work environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
