About the Role:
YMCA of Northern Alberta is looking for a Part Time Facility Attendant to complete high quality cleaning and general maintenance while maintaining safe cleaning practices to their assigned facility. This position requires ability to enter MALE changerooms during operating hours, flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of facility and locker rooms at all times by completing necessary duties
- Circulation and spot cleaning the female change rooms and common areas every 30 minutes, making sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free of debris
- Paper, soap, toiletries, and health beauty supplies are fully stocked
- Program areas and locker rooms are tidy, collect dirty towels from locker room; restock towels in plus locker room and workout area
- Wash, dry and store all laundry in respective areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the hot tub and stream room area Regular communication with Facility Attendant Supervisor on building status and report and issues or concerns
- Recommend quality improvement ideas and implement approved changes
- Communicate any supplies needed to maintain inventory as needed
- Follow all Health and Safety standards of the Y
- Comply with the Centre's emergency response system and procedures Work towards completing both personal and team goals
- Consistently represent YMCA's values and mission, encourage a healthy lifestyle, participation of other by helping out by their respective means, enrich the quality of programs and services, promote YMCA as a charity according to YMCA SAM Standards Document
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent
- Previous cleaning and/or janitorial experience is an asset
- Flexible schedule
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector check.
