Job Title: Experienced Bartender & Poker Night Host (Future Supervisor Potential)

About Us:
Gusto Caledon is a lively Italian restaurant and sports bar known for delicious food, great drinks, and exciting weekly events like karaoke, trivia, and poker nights. We're looking for a talented, energetic bartender who can also host and manage our poker nights, with the potential to grow into a supervisory role over time.
Job Summary:
This dual-role position is perfect for someone who's not only a skilled bartender but also confident in managing events and engaging with customers. The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and grow into a supervisory or shift lead position as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities:Bartending Duties:

• Prepare and serve drinks efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
• Handle cash, operate the POS system, and manage tabs.
• Ensure all alcohol service complies with Ontario regulations.

Poker Night Hosting Duties:

• Set up and run weekly Poker Night events (e.g., Texas Hold'em).
• Welcome and register players, explain rules when needed.
• Ensure smooth, fair, and friendly gameplay.
• Promote the event and encourage return visits.

Long-Term Growth:

• Opportunity to train for and step into a Supervisor or Shift Lead role.
• Assist with training new staff, opening/closing procedures, and daily operations.
• Help organize and manage additional events and promotions.
  

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bartending experience in a busy environment.
• Experience hosting poker or similar events is a strong asset.
• Smart Serve Certification (Ontario) required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with leadership potential.
• Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
