About Us
A well-established player in the packaging solutions sector, our company operates several production and logistics hubs across Ontario.

What We're Looking For
We are on the hunt for a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our finance division. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational analysis, helping to drive our strategic goals, including an ambitious 50% growth target over the next three years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, etc.).

  • Perform variance analyses and ensure all discrepancies are investigated and resolved.

  • Implement and refine internal controls to uphold reporting accuracy and regulatory compliance.

  • Track, document, and assess fixed assets, including valuations and locations.

  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data accuracy across financial platforms.

  • Contribute to budget creation and expenditure forecasting, offering insights on financial trends and efficiency improvements.

  • Validate and review financial documentation such as invoices, expense reports, and ledger entries.

  • Oversee financial data inputs and maintain integrity across enterprise financial systems.

  • Mentor team members in financial processes and provide training on new tools or system enhancements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.

  • Support payroll processes for U.S. operations and prepare to assist with Canadian payroll activities in the future.

  • Carry out additional assignments as directed by the Finance Director.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA designation or graduate-level education is preferred.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in financial operations, with hands-on knowledge of Sage 300 ERP (a must-have).

  • Prior involvement in manufacturing or ERP implementation is considered a strong asset.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a sharp eye for detail in fast-moving environments.

  • Adept at translating complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership.

  • Effective communicator capable of fostering alignment across departments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing change and driving continuous improvement.

  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial best practices.
