Position: Dock Installer / Shop Assistant
Start Date: June 2025

About the Role:
As a Dock Installer / Shop Assistant at Seaco Marine, you'll be responsible for preparing dock system components and assisting with installations. This includes assembling parts according to blueprints and shop drawings, as well as participating in on-site installations—both land and water-based—by connecting dock systems to shorelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble dock systems according to shop drawings and manager instructions

  • Follow all health and safety guidelines

  • Identify and report issues to the shop manager

  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings (training provided)

  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs

  • Accurately measure using a tape measure

  • Participate in dock deliveries and installations

  • Show a willingness to learn and take on additional tasks as needed

  • Be available for occasional overtime

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working with power tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Class 3 Driver's License (preferred)

  • Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card (Boater's License)

  • Experience in the following areas is an asset:

    • Trailer towing

    • Forklift operation

    • Boat handling

    • Skid steer operation
