Job Title: Automotive Parts Counter Person

Reports To: Parts Manager
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday 9-5, & some Saturdays with a day off during the week in lieu of Saturday shift.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our dealership team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting both retail and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and purchases, as well as supporting the service department with timely and accurate parts delivery. The ideal candidate has strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist retail customers and service technicians in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

• Accurately look up parts using electronic catalogs, VIN decoding tools, and OEM systems.

• Maintain and monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock is organized and accounted for.

• Process parts orders, returns, and warranty claims using dealership DMS (Dealer Management System).

• Ensure all parts are correctly invoiced and properly billed to customers or repair orders.

• Assist with stocking shelves, receiving inventory, and keeping the parts department clean and organized.

• Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to check availability and place special orders.

• Provide updates to the service department and customers regarding back-ordered or delayed parts.

• Participate in regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation tasks.

• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, pricing, and product updates.
