Our client is a well-established and trusted roofing contractor proudly serving Western Canada for over 40 years. Known for there high standards in safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction, they specialize in commercial, industrial, and residential roofing projects of all sizes and complexities. There team is growing quick, and we're looking for an experienced and driven Senior Roofing Estimator to join there Kelowna team (remotely).
Position Summary
The Senior Roofing Estimator will be responsible for leading the estimating process for large-scale commercial and residential roofing projects. You'll be an integral part of our client's pre-construction team—analyzing blueprints, conducting site assessments, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers, sales, and clients to ensure competitive, accurate, and timely bids.
*The first 6-months of this opportunity would require you to travel to and from Kelowna 1-week per month (on our clients expense).
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit detailed and accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and residential roofing projects
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and related documents
• Conduct roof inspections and on-site evaluations to assess project scope
• Collaborate with project managers, sales reps, and contractors to finalize pricing and timelines
• Evaluate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Track market pricing trends and adjust estimates accordingly
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
• Assist in project handoff, procurement, and pre-construction planning
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and revisions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in roofing estimating, ideally with commercial/flat roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, BUR, SBS/Torch-on, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems, and construction processes
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, RoofLogic, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for site assessments
