Position Summary:
The Field Coordinator supports execution, documentation, and communication on high-performance concrete scopes such as embedded rail, track slabs, and heavy formwork systems. This role is ideal for someone who knows their way around drawings, respects tolerances, and thrives in complex site environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sequencing: subbase prep, formwork layout, pour planning, rail placement, grouting, and strip operations
- Coordinate with survey crews for embedded steel, bolt inserts, and as-built confirmations
- Track and complete FLHAs, toolbox meetings, pour logs, and QC documentation including inspection checklists and sign-offs
- Support and verify critical rail and slab tolerances (23 mm), particularly around embedded rail and baseplates
- Daily entry and upkeep of LEM (Labour, Equipment, and Material) reports to support billing accuracy and production tracking
- Work closely with layout, rebar, and stray current system teams to avoid scope conflicts
- Interface with shift supervisors, field engineers, and adjacent contractors as required
- Upload RFIs, hold points, daily reports, and progress updates through Paradim, Aconex, or Fieldwire
- Support PPE checks, hydration station setup, and control of exclusion zones on congested or high-traffic days
What Were Looking For:
- 25 years of field experience in concrete (formwork, structural, or rail-embedded slab)
- Post-secondary in construction or civil engineering technology is an asset, not a must
- Proven organizational skills with ability to manage documentation in real time
- Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and tolerance-sensitive scopes
- Familiarity with LEM tracking systems and how they relate to cost recovery
- Tech literate: experience with field management platforms and digital site documentation
- Able to read blueprints and think proactively across trades
- Valid Class 5 license and reliable access to multiple job sites
