Summary:
CSN is seeking a high-potential, detail-oriented, hands-on, flexible Coordinator, People & Culture, Talent Acquisition to be an efficient driver for full lifecycle recruiting. This individual will focus on the interview process, intentionally seeking diverse candidates. This individual will use our values and strive for greatness to guide and develop the next generation of employees. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture (P&C), the successful candidate must have experience with full-cycle recruitment and building the employer's brand, ensuring that CSN is positioned to attract, hire, and retain the next generation, who will contribute to the growth of our network.
Primary Objectives of the Role:
1. Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies for corporate offices, shops, and US expansion.
- Utilize various recruitment channels and platforms to attract diverse and qualified candidates.
2. Staff Onboarding:
- Conduct orientations, introduce new employees to company policies and procedures, and assist with the necessary paperwork and more.
3. Employee Engagement:
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and events to celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging and more.
4. Staff Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks and more.
5. People & Culture Intranet Maintenance:
- Maintain and update the People & Culture intranet platform with relevant and engaging content
6. Office Management:
- As required, arrange and administer corporate meetings, including Board meetings, Team Meetings, and Advisory meetings, as well as order kitchen and Office supplies.
Other duties as assigned
- The employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Requirements
Experience:
- 3-year diploma/degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar education. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and progressive work experience in People and Culture/Human Resources. CHRP (or in progress) is an asset
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in recruitment preferred, with strong experience with social media recruiting.
- General understanding of general human resources practices and labour legislation & employment/labour laws
- Hands-on experience with recruitment software and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Strong interviewing skills and familiarity with various interview techniques (like video or panel interviews)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
- Familiarity with HR platforms (ADP, Workable, Certn) is an asset
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive team environment
Work Environment and Requirements
- Ability to attend the Oakville, Ontario office 2-3 times a week (Hybrid)
- Open concept office environment.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays.
